Data Scientist and Senior Research Associate, Children, Youth and Young Adults Team, Myers-JDC-Brookdale Institute (MJB), Israel’s leading center for applied social research.

Zohar Or Sharvit has worked at MJB since 2018. She integrates classical quantitative and qualitative research methods with innovative approaches in machine learning and artificial intelligence to support early identification of needs and strengthen decision-making for children and families.

Her main research areas are: at-risk children, youth, and young adults (research lead for the National Program 360), early childhood, families navigating separation and divorce, food insecurity, and reducing socio-economic gaps. Zohar is a certified social worker and an early childhood specialist, with experience in managing and training educational teams, facilitating groups, and occupational rehabilitation.

Zohar holds a BA in Psychology and Education from the Open University, a BSW in Social Work from the Hebrew University of Jerusalem, an MA in Early Childhood Studies (the Schwartz Program) from the Hebrew University of Jerusalem, and a Data Scientist certification from the High-Tech and Cyber School at Bar-Ilan University.
